President Uhuru Kenyatta has today commissioned the Central Radioactive Waste Processing facility and the National Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Centre at the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority's regional office at Oloolua, Kajiado County.
The facility handles the processing of chemical and radiological waste as well as storage of disused radiation sources.
This was done after the official opening of Mama Maragret Kenyatta Children Hospital at Mathare North, Nairobi.
Speaking on Friday, President Kenyatta said the hospital will be fully done within the month.
