Deputy President William Ruto on Friday hosted a delegation of grassroots leaders from Isiolo, and Wajir counties at his Karen residence, Nairobi.
The leaders included aspirants for governor, MPs, and MCAs.
Nominated MP Nasri Sahal, MP aspirant on UDA ticket Abdulahi Yusuf, Senate aspirant Abbas Sheikh who is running for a seat on the UDA ticket were present.
''Leaders agreed that the Bottom-Up Economic Model will transform the county that has suffered years of marginalisation,'' Ruto said in a tweet.
The meeting happened days after Ruto jetted back to the country after his 12-day tour in the USA, and the United Kingdom.
The DP jetted back on March 10, 2022, with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi as well as the Kenya Kwanza Alliance delegates who accompanied him.
Garissa Township MP Aden Duale was also present.
On his Twitter account, Ruto stated that his bid will not leave anyone behind in the August 9 polls.
DP's meeting comes a day after ODM leader Raila Odinga toured Wajir County in a bid to popularise the Azimio la Umoja Movement.
