(PHOTOS) Ongoing construction of MV Uhuru 2

Colonel Peter Muthungu stated that the construction of the ship is a great milestone in Kenya as it will improve the marine industry in our country, Uganda and Tanzania."

The ongoing construction of MV Uhuru 2 is set to be complete by August this year. The ship is about 80 percent complete, It is being constructed by a group of engineers from Kisumu Shipyard Limited and Damen Shipyard Group.

This being the first ship to be constructed and locally assembled in the country it has given our country a great milestone and also it will improve the marine industry both here and other neighboring countries like Uganda and Tanzania.
