DP William Ruto on Tuesday welcomed devolution CS Charles Keter to his UDA party minutes after announcing his resignation.
Keter announced his resignation on national Television on Tuesday.
Minutes later, Keter was seen posing with Ruto and other government officials in Karen.
Among the officials welcomed to UDA include; Labour CAS Patrick Ole Ntutu, Petroleum and Mining CAS John Mosonik, Wildlife Principal Secretary Fred Segor and Tourism CAS Joseph Boinnet.
"Growing stronger every day.. I welcomed Keter...to the Hustler Nation in Karen, Nairobi County," Ruto said.
Keter will vie for the Kericho governor seat on a United Democratic Party.
He is the first Cabinet Secretary to step down.
Keter on Tuesday resigned to focus on his bid to become the next Kericho Governor.
"I am resigning from my office in government to focus my energy on contesting for the seat of the county of Kericho," he told a press conference at Treasury buildings.
Last week, Joseph Boinnet resigned as the Tourism CAS.
The former Inspector General of Police made the disclosure at a meeting with MPs at the sports committee.
“Today’s assignment is the last because I am tendering my resignation to seek a leadership position in the county where I was born and brought up,” Boinnet said.
