Deputy President William Ruto has urged the youth to register as voters in order to vote for the right leaders come August 9 General Elections.
Speaking while at Karen Shopping Centre and Southlands in Lang’ata Constituency, the DP asked the youths to vote for the right government that will address their needs and aspirations.
"Our single most patriotic duty is to have a voters card. I ask the youth to vote for the right leaders, right politics and the right government that will address their needs and aspirations. It is you to decide, and you cannot decide without a voters card. Register as a voter now!" Ruto said.
The DP was accompanied by MPs Nixon Korir (Lang’ata), John Kiarie (Dagoretti South), Kiprotich Arap Cherargei(Nandi), Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu), George Theuri (Embakasi West).
Others are Benjamin Githiru (Embakasi Central), Millicent Omanga (Nominated), Simon Mbugua (EALA), Gubernatorial aspirants Bishop Margaret Wanjiru (Nairobi), Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu) and a host of UDA party aspirants.
Ruto has also promised to ensure that residents of Lang'ata, Nairobi, have access to clean water if elected President.
He said his administration will complete three key dams that will supply water to the areas.
He said his administration will endeavour to complete the construction of the ongoing Northern Water Collector tunnel to address water scarcity in the city at large.
