Many of us still remember the fanfare and excitement that surrounded the passage and promulgation of our new Constitution in 2010. After decades of suffering under the old constitution which gave the president imperial powers, we finally had a document that devolved government, strengthened judicial independence and oversight and enshrined individual freedoms, among other rights.
