The lawmakers, at a meeting with a senior member of the minority side in the National Assembly, pledged  not to allow any person with hardline stances against former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the past anywhere near the Executive should he form the next government.

Did a former lawmaker refuse to come out of a convoy and acknowledge greetings from his constituents during a tour by one of the presidential hopefuls in his area? Well, Corridors is informed that the lawmaker from Nyanza, who served only one term developed cold feet at the last minute after agreeing to accompany the politico in his tour of the area. The ex-legislator, who is said to be eyeing his former seat, was scared of the backlash that would come with his association with the presidential aspirant. He remained in his tinted vehicle not even waving to the jubilant supporters who came out to welcome the senior politician, some even carrying his placard.

Are there plans by one of the dominant political parties to issue its serving women MPs with direct party tickets? The party, keen to meet the gender threshold, is said to have resorted to the move to ensure its number of women elected MPs does not shrink next year. According to party stalwarts, the entity has marked the constituencies currently represented by women MPs and will not allow male candidates during nominations. In cases where there is no female aspirant, the serving members will be issued direct tickets.
