The Rotary Club of Karura has teamed up with PSV operators to spread the message of peace in Nairobi ahead of the polls. The “Tuongee Amani Initiative” involves putting stickers on matatus calling for unity. Branch club president Monica Mwangi praised PSV operators for their willingness to spread the message of peace. “The initiative will help break the negative ethnicity and tribalism practiced in the community and put operators at the forefront in promoting peace,” she said. The National Cohesion and Integration Commission has warned politicians against engaging in hate speech during campaigns. It acquired audio and video recorders to help monitor politicians.
