Human rights groups have urged Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to stay away from anti-IEBC demonstrations.
Haki Africa, Muslims for Human Rights and activist Crispinus Waithaka have also warned police against using excessive force on
demonstrators.
Yesterday, Mombasa held its first anti-IEBC demonstration, weeks after nationwide protests started.
