Kenya records 11 new cases of Covid 19, no death

One patient is on supplemental oxygen, and is in the general ward.

Kenya on Thursday recorded 11 new cases of Covid-19 from a sample size of 2,493 collected in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate is at 0.4 per cent.

In a statement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said that eight of the cases are Kenyans, and three are foreigners.

The number includes four females, and seven males.

The youngest patient is a 32-year-old while the oldest is 55 years old.

The total number of confirmed positive cases is 323,745 and the number of cumulative tests conducted so far is 3,593,253.

The CS said that four patients have recovered from the disease, all of them from the Home Based, and Isolation Care Program.

This pushes the total recoveries to 317,932 of whom 264,905 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program while 53,027 are from various health facilities countrywide.

No patient has succumbed to the disease, therefore, the cumulative fatalities remain 5,649.

A total of two patients are currently admitted in various health facilities across the country, while 151 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

One patient is on supplemental oxygen, and is in the general ward.

No patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or in High Dependency Unit (HDU).
