Kenya on Friday recorded 24 new cases of Covid-19 from a sample size of 2,086 tested in the last 24 hours.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement that from the cases, 18 are Kenyans while 6 are foreigners, 15 males, and 9 females.
The youngest patient is a 6-year old while the oldest is 80 years.
In terms of County distribution; Nairobi 23, Homa Bay 1.
The total confirmed positive cases are 323,688 while the total cumulative tests are 3,57,739.
The CS said that 20 patients have recovered from the disease, all of them from the Home-Based and Isolation Care program.
This pushes the number of recoveries to 317,902 of whom 264,876 are from the Home-Based care and Isolation Program while 53,026 are from various health facilities countrywide.
Three patients are currently admitted to various health facilities while 134 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
No patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on supplemental oxygen or in the general wards.
No patient in High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Vaccination Campaign
A total of 17,8349,742 vaccines have been administered across the country.
The number of doses administered to the adult population is 16,322,538.
Another 1,232,435 are doses administered to those between 15 to 17 years while 294,769 are booster doses.
The total number of vaccines administered in the last 24 hours is 8,836 while the total number of people fully vaccinated in the last 24 hours is 5,694.
The proportion of adults fully vaccinated was 30.4%
The positivity rate is now at 0.9 per cent.
