The Ministry of Health has reported another 460 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
In a statement released on Monday, health CS Mutahi Kagwe said that the new cases were pickled from a sample size of 2,753, taking the total number of cases in the country to 139, 448.
The country’s positivity rate is at 16.7 per cent.
The CS said that from the cases, 446 are Kenyans while 14 are foreigners, 250 are males and 210 are females.
The youngest is a seven-month-old infant while the oldest is 89.
The cumulative tests conducted are 1,520,390.
Kagwe said that 20 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. From the case, one was reported in the last 24 hours, ten in the last one month, and nine are late deaths from facility record audits.
The total number of fatalities is 2,244.

Two hundred patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, 40 of whom are on ventilatory support and 130 are on supplemental oxygen. Thirty patients are also on observation.
Another 240 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 223 of them are in general wards and 17 are in the High Dependency Unit.
In terms of age distribution, 14 patients are 0-9 years, 10-15 years (17), 20-29 (91), 30-33 (199), 40-49 (312), 50-59 (495) and 60 years and above are 1,062.
Nairobi leads with 295 cases, Kitui 62, Machakos 29, and Kiambu 28.
Nyeri 12, Nakuru 12, Kajiado 9, Kilifi 4, Mandera 3, Laikipia 2, while Meru, Mombasa, Nyandarua and Kakamega have single cases each.
