Bumula MP Jack Wamboka has donated 14 digital computers and three scanners to Mukhuma Secondary School in his constituency with the sole aim of impacting learners with the skills.

Speaking at the school on Friday, Wamboka said with the changing digital landscape, learners need to be equipped with skills.

“Our children aren’t competitive with the digital skills that is why I have taken up the initiative of ensuring that schools in my constituency get computers that will help in impacting learners with the digital computer knowledge,” the MP stated.

“Currently, every job market requires an individual to possess computer knowledge.”

The MP says that for many years, Bumula Constituency remained behind in terms of performance in national examinations.

He attributed it to the poor Education foundation.

“Bumula has always been number last when it comes to Examination performance and it is the reason why I want to invest heavily in the Education sector,” Wamboka noted.

The first-term MP affirmed that digital computer distribution will be extended to primary school levels.

At the same time, MP Wamboka handed over Sh500,000 to Mukhuma Primary School to aid in the completion of stalled projects.

He said all condemned and sub-standard buildings will be demolished and advanced ones constructed.

The DAP-K MP also opened a modern classroom block at Netima Primary School and launched the construction of the Napara- Kimwanga road.
