Bungoma Deputy Governor Jenipher Mbatiany has urged people living with disability to form groups and saccos to benefit from the Disability Fund.

Speaking at a hotel in Bungoma on Tuesday, during the Disability Roundtable Stakeholders Forum, Mbatiany said that there is need to mainstream and address the plight of people living with disability.

"Every person that God created has a purpose. We cherish our brothers and sisters differently. We are committed to ensure we capture their concerns in our development agenda," Mbatiany said.

She said Governor Ken Lusaka factored in the Disability Fund to enable people living with special needs benefit from an all-inclusive development.

“If you were keen in following my bosses’ speeches during campaigns you were factored in the Disability Fund and I assure you that everybody will benefit,” she said.

“We separated your kitty from the rest because we want you to receive the funds very fast and implement projects in your respective wards and constituencies,.

“Lusaka’s administration is focused on empowering the common people and we shall partner with the national government to ensure that Bungoma benefits from the Hustler Fund."
