Kirinyaga county governor seat ballot papers were on Monday discovered in Mumias East sub-county, Kakamega county.

Area returning officer, Joseph Ayatta confirmed the incident.

Reports indicate that there was confusion in the distribution of the ballot papers.

"It is true that the ballot paper was found. We will issue a comprehensive statement later," Ayatta told the Star on phone.
