Sirisia MP candidate Moses Nandalwe has promised to have a bank established in the area if elected MP.

He said Sirisia town has no bank, making it difficult for traders to carry out monetary transactions.

In an interview with the Star at his home on Monday, Nandalwe said a bank will enable traders to apply for loans to boost their businesses.

“Many people find it hard to make bank transactions, and those who need access to bank services are expected to travel to Bungoma,” Nandalwe said.

He said he is a leader with brilliant ideas that can change the face of the constituency.

Nandalwe also promised to prioritise education, infrastructure, agriculture and health.

“I will not only depend on NG-CDF money to do all this. I am a connected person and I will use my connection to mobilise resources so that I can support extra programmes apart from the NG-CDF,” he said.

On education, Nandalwe said he will ensure that all bright but needy students are supported to go to school.

He will also push for the building of a KMTC college at Wamono in Lwandanyi ward.

Nandalwe said he will liaise with the governor, who will be elected, and the national government to build a milk plant at Namwela market where dairy farmers will take their milk and get paid.

“The issue of throwing stones and attacking others the way I'm seeing is wrong. I want to ask my opponents to have an agenda for Sirisia people,” he said.

Nandalwe, who is vying for the seat for the third time on the ODM ticket, said he is the only politician in the race who has been around voters and supported them.

“My good people, please remember me on August 9. Sirisia needs a youth with brilliant ideas,” he added.

Nandalwe also drummed up support for Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
