Vihiga residents have been urged to elect Governor Wilber Ottichilo for a second term to finish the projects he has started.

ODM woman rep candidate Winnie Majani said on Monday that one term is not enough for the governor to deliver on all his pledges.

She spoke in Luanda subcounty, where she also urged residents to elect her on August 9.

Majani said Ottichilo has a good development record and if given a second term, he will do more as he is a man of change.

She also urged Luanda and Emuhaya people to rally behind Raila Odinga and elect him as the next president.

Majani said he is the only person who can revive the economy.

"Our economy needs immediate surgery and that can only be done by Raila," she said.

Majani said she has been participating in politics since 2007 under Warembo na Raila, but has now chosen to take part in active politics.

She will face incumbent Beatrice Adagala of ANC, violet Bagada of UDP, Mary Amalemba of DAP-K, Ruth Bukachi (independent), Kevina Oriedo, and Rhodah Mbandu of Ford Kenya in August.
