Matunda Salvation Army Mixed Day Secondary School in Likuyani subcounty posted a sterling performance in the 2020 KCSE results despite the death of the principal during the exam period.

Acting principal Francis Musotsi said the loss affected the candidates emotionally.

Musotsi commended the students for registering good results despite the challenges associated with mixed day schools.

“Eight candidates scored A- (minus), with 134 out of the total 231 attaining the minimum university entry points of C+ (plus) and above,” he said.

He said they are happy after producing the highest number of university qualifiers in the subcounty.
