The Kitengela sleuths who spoke to the Star on Monday morning said the two were arrested while on their way to Somalia.

“The woman we have arrested along with the prime suspect is a Borana and the slain man, Jibril Abdullahi, had initiated a love affair with her,” a detective told the Star.

An eyewitness, who was in the company of the deceased, claimed the Nginga attacked Abdullahi with a knife killing him instantly.

“The prime suspect realised that Abdullahi had some interest in Osman, his employee and lover, and was not happy when they talked a language he did not understand,” the witness told the Star.

The attack happened in a bar belonging to the prime suspect in Kitengela.

Police said the suspects will be taken to Kajiado law courts later in the day.

They will be charged with the offence of murder, contrary to Section 203 as read with Section 204 of the penal code.
