Anamoi school student on the run after attacking head teacher using board with nail

A good Samaritan is said to have rushed the head teacher to Kericho Level 4 Hospital.

A student from Ainamoi Secondary School on Wednesday hit his head teacher with a piece of wood which had a six-inch nail sticking out after he was allegedly sent home over fees arrears.

According to Kericho county police commander Silas Mathiu, the student hit Geoffrey Rono on Wednesday night at 9pm within the school compound.

After the attack, the student went into hiding and is being sought by the police.

Mathiu said the head teacher had earlier on picked a quarrel with the student over school fee arrears.

A good Samaritan is said to have rushed the head teacher to Kericho Level 4 Hospital, where he was treated before being discharged.

 A source from the nearby village told the Star the form three student had several quarrels with the head teacher over school fees arrears.
