Nanok admits he was sick, but now ready to serve

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok has admitted that he has been unwell, but has recovered and is now fit to offer services to residents.

"I have been away to seek treatment, but for now I'm back to offer services  to the people of Turkana, " he said on Monday while launching the first phase of Napuu water project which is expected to to supply water to residents of Kanamkemer in Lodwar.

In July, Nanok dismissed reports he was unwell and had been admitted to hospital.

The governor has not disclosed what he was suffering from.
