Isaac Rutto's Chama cha Mashinani will conduct nominations for MCA candidates in Kericho on Friday.

Coordinator Joseph Rotich said they expect the polls to be held in the county's 30 wards.

He said those seeking MP seats might be given direct CCM tickets since they are unopposed.

Of the six Kericho sub-counties, the Bomet governor's party will field five candidates.

They include Faith Mabwai (Bureti), Joseph Rogony (Sigowet), and Dominic Mutai (Belgut).

Nicholas Ngeno and Isaac Rono are poised for Kipkelion East and west MP seats respectively.

Emily Kirui aka Cheptigiti is likely to be nominated to contest the Kericho woman representative seat.

Kirui is a KNUT national executive member representing Bureti constituency.

Mutai and Rono on Wednesday asked Jubilee leaders to respect CCM the same way they respect JP.

The two said CCM will continue championing for the entrenchment of devolution.

"Let Jubilee leaders know that we are no push over. On August 8, we are going to win seats in their strongholds," Rono said.

He said reference of CMM as a useless party is not only provocative but abusive.

Mutai said the nominations will be peaceful and orderly.
