Hundreds of youths marched along the streets of Kisumu to protest against the Finance Bill and President William Ruto.

The youths converged as early as 9 am in Kondele Grounds before matching along the major streets.

While at Kondele, they danced to reggae music while chanting anti-state slogans saying they had lost total faith in the Presidency.

Some youths were already gathered opposite the Kisumu main bus terminus while others also blocked the Agah Khan roundabout.

Vehicles kept off the streets as those protesting on a motorbike or with their motorbikes filled the streets.

Police vehicles were seen moving around, most in areas with no crowds.

Most of them carrying Kenyan flags said it was a little too late to withdraw the Finance Bill.

"We are now saying 'Ruto Must go.' We are already suffering, we are ready to suffer more and we must factory set Kenya free," Boniface Akach, an activist said.

Jovian a Human Rights activist said their trust in President Ruto is lost, saying what they have witnessed and experienced in the last three demos is something that should not be allowed.

She added they were no longer a priority to President Ruto so people must come out and remember the power belongs to them.

The demonstrations come a day after President Ruto rejected to sign the Bill and referred it back to the National Assembly with a recommendation to delete all clauses.
