President William Ruto's first Cabinet reshuffle appears to be a warning salvo to top dogs that there are no sacred cows in his administration.

In the late night Wednesday reshuffle, the Head of State stopped short of sacking some of the CSs whose tenures have been dogged by controversy.

Ruto moved the controversial CSs — some of whom played a key role in his election—to less influential ministries in what has been interpreted as a demotion.

In fact, he plucked some departments from previous ministries and merged them to create a new entity which he dished out as a fully fledged ministry.

Some of the affected Cabinet Secretaries have in recent months made public gaffes that have exposed the Kenya Kwanza regime in bad light.

CSs Moses Kuria, Alice Wahome, Alfred Mutua and Aisha Jumwa are among those whose actions and statements have stirred public outrage.
