Ex-Kisumu rep shortlisted for MCA service board

Roy Samo is among 10 of the shortlisted candidates

Former Kisumu MCA Roy Samo is among the 10 shortlisted candidates for the position of external members of the county assembly service board.

Samo was the Kajulu MCA in 2017.

Those shortlisted include Charles Akach, Janet Odingo, Grace Jobita and Noel Olweny.

They will appear before the interview panel on November 23 between 9 am and 11.40 am.

Others are Rosemary Okello, Ismael Noo, Philip Owino, Monica Ogada and Joseph Ochwanda who are required to be interviewed on November 24 between 9 am and 11.40 am.

Kisumu county assembly clerk Owen Ojuok notified all the shortlisted candidates for the interview in an advertisement through a local daily.

“The county assembly service board of Kisumu wishes to notify all applicants for the position of external members of the county assembly service board advertised in the local dailies on October 14, that the shortlisting exercise has been concluded and interviews have been scheduled,” he said.

“The interviews will be held in the county assembly boardroom at Mega Plaza. Please consider yourself unsuccessful if you don’t find your name on the list. However, we thank you for showing interest to work with us.” 

The shortlisted candidates are required to submit the original of their identity cards or valid passports, a detailed CV, academic and professional certificates and other relevant testimonials.

The candidates should bring letters, certificates of clearance, credit reference bureau, certificate of good conduct as well as tax compliance from Kenya Revenue Authority.

They should also bring with them clearance certificates from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and Higher Education Loans Board.
