The Nyamira health facilities will be well-equipped to improve services, CEC Timothy Ombati has promised.

“As a department, we have put in place measures to ensure residents do not travel to other counties for medical attention. We are improving our health facilities to ease the suffering of residents,” he said.

Ombati spoke on Sunday when he toured health facilities in Manga subcounty in Kitutu Masaba constituency.

He visited Mochenwa Health Centre and Manga Subcounty Hospital, both in Kitutu Masaba constituency.

“We have been having challenges here and there in healthcare service delivery but we have now put measures in place to ensure we streamline our services for the good of our people. One of the challenges we have been facing is lack of drugs but we have come up with a solution to make it a thing of the past,” Ombati said.

Improvement to the health department is among the key agendas Governor Amos Nyaribo has been working hard to fulfil.
