Former Kisumu Senator Fred Outa has said does not regret his decision to support President William Ruto.

Outa said no one should frown over his choice to work with the Kenya Kwanza government.

“I want you to pray for me, this is a political journey that I have started and I have no regrets,” Outa said on Saturday at his home in Nyando.

While also speaking in the Migingo area at the burial of the son to ACK Maseno East Bishop Joshua Owiti, Outa said he will work with Ruto and never look back.

He said his move is well-calculated and it will bring good tidings to his people.

“I am praying to God to walk with me as I start a new political life, a journey which I know will lead me somewhere,” he said.

Outa, however, noted that as the Luo community it is time to stand up and walk again after Azimio leader Raila Odinga failed to secure the top seat in his fifth attempt.

“What everyone yearns for is development but it must be looked for it because it can't come and knock at your doorstep,” he said.

Even though out of active politics, Outa said he will continue to walk with his people and assist where possible.
