A man who used violence to rob three city dwellers' of their jewellery and other items all totalling Sh800, 000 has been charged in court.

Simon Muasa John Alias Christopher Samuel was charged before Kibera Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi where he denied the charges.

According to the court papers, the accused person committed the offence on August 22, 2023, in South C, within Nairobi County.

He allegedly stole jewellery, watches, laptops and iPads from  Dinbala Vagela, Bhagya Vaghela and Bernice Kieti, who are all listed as key witnesses.

The court heard that the accused person committed the offence alongside others who are still at large.

He was released on Sh500,000 bail with the surety of the same amount.

The court also directed that the accused person be supplied with all the witness statements and documentary evidence that the prosecution intended to rely on during the entire trial.

The case will be mentioned later this month.
