Musumba's date with MCAs as he faces panel for secretary job

The county secretary is the backbone of all Nairobi public services.

The current Nairobi County Secretary Jairus Musumba will be vetted today by Members of County Assembly (MCAs).

Musumba who has been acting in the position for the past three years was the main shortlisted candidate out of the 14 who had applied for the position.

The vetting will be conducted by the county assembly committee on appointments.

The county secretary is the backbone of all Nairobi public services.

Between 2013-2022, Nairobi had eight county secretaries. 

They include Lillian Ndegwa, Gregory Mwakanongo (in an acting capacity), Robert Ayisi, Leboo ole Morintat in an acting capacity, Peter Kariuki, Pauline Kahiga and Justus Kathenge and now Jairus Musumba in an acting capacity.
