George Mwangi an independent candidate is challenging the victory of UDA's Allan Maina in Dandora I.

Former Karen MCA David Mberia filed a petition for the Karen ward seat won by Antony Maragu of ODM.

In Kiamaiko, former MCA James Mwangi (Jubilee) filed a petition challenging UDA’s  Joseph Ndung’u win.

Wiper’s candidate Muoka Kennedy filed the petition challenging ODM Redson Otieno’s win in the Ngei ward.

Former Mlango Kubwa MCA Patriciah Mutheu (Jubilee) is also challenging UDA’s Susan Kavaya.

In Kariobangi North, UDA’s candidate Patrick Njuguna filed a petition to challenge Joel Munuve’s (Independent) win.

In Umoja II, former ODM aspirant Calvin  Oloo has filed a petition against Shadrack Namuyu's (ODM) victory.

For the parliamentary seat, only one petition has been filed for the Starehe constituency, where three petitioners, Stanely Kyalo, Peter Waihenya and Samuel Nduhiu are challenging the election of Jubilee’s Amos Mwago.

Chief Justice Martha Koome last week appointed 104 judges and magistrates to hear and determine 123 election petitions arising from the August 9 general election.

The number of election petitions is down from 388 filed after the 2017 general election and 188 in 2013.

In the gazette notice published last Friday, the CJ indicated that 12 of the petitions relate to governor elections and two for senators.

Four petitions involve the county woman representative elections, 28 for MP and 77 for the MCA.
