A man who had gone missing for days has been found dead in his house in Bahati estate, Nairobi.
Marvin Shilungu, 39, was found in his house on Monday days after he went missing.
He was a casual worker and the motive of his murder is yet to be known.
Neighbours said there was a bad smell coming from the house and sought to know its source.
They said the door to Shilungu’s house was partially open and on checking they found his swollen body on the bed.
The body’s private parts had been burnt together with the head and right hand an indication he was tortured before his death.
Nairobi police boss James Mugera said they are yet to establish the motive of the incident or the killers.
He said the man lived alone and they are investigating his death.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old man died after slipping off the rooftop of a six-storey house in Ngara, Nairobi.
James Muthee Mbuvi was repairing a chimney when he slipped and fell off the sixth floor of the house and died instantly.
Guards on duty reported the matter to the police on Monday evening before the body was moved to the mortuary.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
Police are looking for a suspect who dropped a box containing 25 bullets and escaped.
The suspect was in the company of three others when they were stopped by a group of vigilante group in Lindi when he dropped the box.
Police want to establish the source of the bullets and the motive.
Officials handling the case suspect the gang planned to use it for criminal activities.
