Kephis releases seeds for mrenda, other vegetables

The Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service has released seeds for nine varieties of traditional vegetables such as mrenda.Prof Mary Abukutsa from JKUAT yesterday said despite increasing demand for the nutrient-rich indigenous vegetables, production has been hampered by lack of quality seed.
