As the team from Rotary was completing the handover, news broke from the maternity ward — a mother had just given birth to three healthy babies.

The Rotary Club of Nairobi Muthaiga North has delivered a life-saving donation of maternity and neonatal equipment to Runyenjes Level 4 Hospital.

In a heartwarming twist of fate, the equipment arrived just in time to receive a set of triplets born only hours later.

The donation, which included delivery beds, basins, baby warmers, oxygen concentrators, and essential neonatal care kits, was part of the club’s ongoing commitment to improving maternal and child health, one of Rotary’s key areas of focus.

As the team from Rotary was completing the handover, news broke from the maternity ward — a mother had just given birth to three healthy babies.

The newly donated equipment was immediately put to use, helping stabilise the newborns and ensuring they received the warmth and care they needed in their first crucial hours.

Speaking at the handover, Club President Michael Otwoma expressed gratitude for the perfect timing of the initiative.

He said: “This is what Rotary is all about — being of service where it matters most. To see our donation put to use immediately, saving lives on the very day we delivered it, is a moment of grace and purpose.”

He said the event stands as a touching reminder that timely service can truly make the difference between hope and despair.

"As the three little lives breathed, surrounded by new equipment and the care of dedicated health workers, one message was clear — Rotary’s service continues to deliver miracles," he said.
