Kisii School celebrates after winning the Kisii Central sub-county soccer title

Kisii School are keen to restore their lost glory in the Kenya Secondary Schools Games when they line up for the Kisii county Term Two show starting today at Nduru Boys.

On Monday, Kisii School edged Friends School Gianchere 2-0 to lift the Kisii Central sub-county soccer title in a game that was played at Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho.

The game was replayed at a neutral venue after Kisii School successfully petitioned Gianchere’s win on Friday. In yesterday’s game, Paul Ochieng’ and Kevin Oluoch scored for a dominant Kisii School.

Kisii School’s games master Hesborn Chweya said: “This is a young team comprising mostly of juniors. We are building a team for the future. At the county level, we plan to reach the semi-finals.”

Kisii School are former national secondary school soccer champion. Kisii School will also field teams in volleyball boys and rugby 7’s.

In the absence of last year’s champions Nduru Boys, Kisii School is favourite to lift the title. They however face stiff competition from former champions Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho.

Kisii School lifted the Nyanza regional rugby 15’s title in the first term and will be seeking to replicate the same form in the 7’s.

The county games will be held at Nduru Boys, Nduru Girls, Nduru Primary, and Nyamarambe playground.
