Police are investigating an incident where two people died under unclear circumstances in Mlolongo town, Machakos.

The men reportedly died after a fight ensued between them for disagreeing on the winner in a game they were playing on Sunday.

Mlolongo assistant county commissioner Dennis Ongaga said the duo was playing a game commonly known as 'kamari' before the fatal incident happened.

The matter was reported to Mlolongo police station as a death incident on June 4.

"Today at around 4.30 pm, two people were killed in Mlolongo. The two were playing kamari, a game of tossing coins when they disagreed on the win hence a fight that escalated to deaths," Ongaga told the Star by phone on Sunday.

"The first person was killed by his competitor whereas the competitor was killed by the mob," Ongaga said.

Police moved the bodies to Shalom Community Hospital's mortuary awaiting autopsy.
