Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday lost his Twitter blue check mark after unclear circumstances.
A spot check by the Star revealed that the opposition leader's account does not have a Twitter blue check despite him having over four million followers.
This comes after Twitter Boss Elon Musk made numerous changes on Twitter including taking away blue checkmarks on accounts that had not paid monthly fee on the platform.
He removed the blue verification badges after they failed to pay a monthly subscription fee of Sh972 ($8) for Twitter Blue.
The move saw some politicians, celebrities, media companies, and journalists lose their badges.
Several Twitter users objected to the changes fearing the new requirements would encourage the spread of misinformation and fake news.
However, Twitter users with more than one million followers got their blue verification badge back.
