Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has urged One Kenya Alliance principals to make Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka their flag-bearer.
Others in the alliance are Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Kanu’s Gideon Moi.
He said the three should let Kalonzo take the mantle as he is the most experienced and most suitable of them all to become the fifth president.
“What we want is to propel Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to the State House. He is the best, even in OKA,” Makau said.
The legislator spoke on Wednesday during a Wiper Youth League party officials’ elections at St Jude Catholic Church in his constituency.
"Without mincing my words, l want to advise the principals to go for Kalonzo as he has a wealth of experience in leadership,” Makau said.
Mudavadi, Wetang'ula and Gideon, he said, know that Kalonzo has what it takes for OKA to ascend to power.
Makau said he was not proposing Kalonzo to be OKA's flag-bearer because he is a fellow Kamba, but because he can deliver the presidential seat without much struggle.
