Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has called for concerted efforts in the fight against drug abuse at the Coast.
His statement comes after some coastal leaders blamed the high rate of unemployment for the rising number of youths taking drugs and engaging in criminal activities.
Mudavadi said the menace of drugs cuts across the country and has affected many youth and leaders must unite to tame the vice.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary said the blame game will not help, asking leaders to come together to address the issue.
"The problem of drugs and narcotics is all over the country and must be fought at all costs and requires your support," he said.
Mudavadi said drugs have rendered many youths unproductive and destroyed their future.
He said the Kenya Kwanza government has taken affirmative actions in hunting for the drug barons and peddlers.
Mudavadi said it won't be business as usual because President William Ruto is determined to eradicate the problem once and for all.
He said there is no going back in the war against drugs and substance abuse, urging leaders across the country to back up Ruto.
Mudavadi also said the Kenya Kwanza administration has fought corruption steadfastly.
He said Ruto's government won't spare culprits and those who are found culpable will face the law.
"We must fight corruption and those responsible should be dealt with accordingly," he said.
Mudavadi said Ruto's administration is focused on accountability, transparency and enhancing service delivery.
He said the President is working tirelessly to attract investors to the country for job creation and development.
Mudavadi defended the Kenya Kwanza government saying it has done excellent work within a short time compared to the previous governments.
He said even though the opposition pokes holes into Ruto's administration, they know that he has done an extraordinary job but are too shy to admit it.
Mudavadi said more development and transformation are in the pipeline for Kenyans to benefit.
He, however, called for patience and support to enable the country to achieve its development goals.
He said the only way the country would progress effectively is by embracing cooperation, peace and unity.
Mining Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya also emphasised on dealing with corruption.
He said public servants must be accountable for their actions and serve with diligence.
Mvurya said leaders must at all costs shun corruption to improve service delivery.
He said corruption has been impeding development for years because corrupt leaders swindle public funds.
He also advised Kenyans to give Ruto time to deliver, adding that he has great plans for the citizens.
