Dala Sevens Division 2 draws released with Blak Blad as top seed

Division Two will be staged at Kisumu National Polytechnic.

Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad are the top seed in the Division Two competition at the SportPesa Sevens Circuit season opener, the Dala 7s.

The tournament takes place Saturday and Sunday at Jomo Kenyatta International Sports Ground. However, Division Two will be staged at Kisumu National Polytechnic.

Newly promoted Kenya Cup side, Kisumu RFC are hosting this weekend’s season opener.  Kenyatta University are in Pool ‘A’  alongside Sigalagala, University of Eldoret’s Trojans and hosts Kisumu National Polytechnic.

Zetech Oaks headline Pool ‘B’ which also features Meru RFC, Border Rucks and Homa Bay RFC while Pool 'C' has Vihiga Granites, Citam Kisumu, Kenya Prisons and Mbale.

Northern Suburbs are in Pool 'D' with Embu, Eldoret and Siaya while Kabarak University, Stallions, Molo, and Bungoma make up Pool E.

Administration Police Warriors under former Kabras coach Oscar Okaron will be in Pool ‘F’ alongside Mount Kenya University, NYS Spades, and Shamberere.

At the same time, Dala Sevens vice-chairman Gabriel Ouma said they anticipate a thrilling competition with a high level of skill from the participating teams.

“We have received an overwhelming response, and we expect a record number of teams to take part in the Dala Sevens tournament this year.

"The rugby fraternity and fans can look forward to witnessing intense matches and incredible talent on display.

"We invite everyone to join us at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium to witness the thrilling action and celebrate the spirit of rugby," he added.
