Raila beats Ruto by narrow margin in Mvita constituency

As of Monday morning IEBC had verified ballot papers from more than 240 constituencies

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has won in the Mvita constituency vote.

He led with 24,497 votes against UDA candidate William Ruto who managed 22,210 votes.

Roots party leader George Wajackoyah got 431 votes while his Agano counterpart got 78 votes.

The constituency had 119,008 registered voters and 47,216 valid votes.

The number of rejected votes was 670.

The commission is the only agency mandated to announce the winner.

As of Monday morning, IEBC had verified ballot papers from more than 244 constituencies.
