The behind-the-scenes manoeuvres could have been the reason why a senior operative based at State House was moved to operate from the office of the President, Harambee House. The man is said to have been boxed out because of his contrary views about succession game plans. However, the colleague who engineered his transfer has also been forced to work away from the house of power.

Talk has been rife that the lawmaker was having an affair with the county boss and the husband was probably waiting for the right moment to act. A resident said the man, soon after kicking his wife out, made it public that he was remarrying and has even announced the name of his soon to be wife.
