Kenya on Sunday recorded 243 new Covid-19 cases bringing the country's total caseload to 39,427.
The new cases were collected from a sample of 4,385 tested in the last 24 hours.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement that 237 were Kenyans while 6 were foreigners.
The youngest is a four-month-old infant while the oldest is 80 years. Out of the new cases, 179 are males while 64 are females.
Kagwe confirmed that 233 patients have been discharged after successful recoveries, raising the country's recovery total to 26,659.
Out of this, 219 were discharged from the home-based care program while 14 were from various health facilities.
Also, the ministry said that three more patients succumbed to the disease, bringing the country's fatalities to 731.
The new cases are spread out among other counties in Nairobi 70, Nakuru 44, Trans Nzoia 30, Kisumu 15, Mombasa15, Narok 13, Kiambu 11, and Kericho 10.
Kakamega recorded 7 cases, Machakos 6, Isiolo 4, Kajiado 3, Meru 3, Bungoma 3, Nandi 3, Uasin Gishu 2, Bbomet 1, Kirinyaga 1, Laikipia 1, and Kilifi 1.
The 70 cases in Nairobi were distributed as; Starehe 27, Lang'ata 12, Kasarani 6, Kibra 5, Westlands 5, Embakasi West 3, Dagoretti North 2, Kamukunji 2, Dagoretti South, Embakasi East, Embakasi North, Embakasi South, Makadara, Roysambu and Makadara had single cases each.
