She is a radio and TV presenter, comedian, MC and influencer. Aunty Jemimah was born on August 19, 1989.
She does her videos in her native language, Kikuyu, with bits of Swahili and broken English allowing any Kenyan to understand the content in her videos.
She uploads her videos on YouTube and Facebook.
Professionally, she is an accountant though her passion lies with media.
Currently, she is a radio presenter at Gukena FM.
The Star had a 5-minute interview with her and her is the excerpt:
I am good at........comedy and giving back.
I am very bad at..........starting conversations and making friends.
The last book I enjoyed reading is.........my current read by Viola Davis titled Finding me.
A common misconception of mine is......that I am an extrovert.
The most surprising thing that happened to me is........my 32nd birthday party which was a surprise.
One of my worst childhood fears was......... fear of failure.
I wish people would take more notice of..........my kindness, often mistaken for weakness.
My ideal night out is.............. Somewhere in the bush alone or in the company of a friend.
In moments of weakness I..........cry. I find it so therapeutic
In another life, I would have been...........a tour guide.
If I was not a radio presenter, I would..............be making travel videos because I like travelling.
The best age to be is............33 because life takes off at 33 for most people.
The best part of my job is...........getting to laugh and make people laugh.
In a nutshell, my philosophy is............life is a destination to death, so live fully.
My idea of perfect happiness is.........when it comes from within.
Living people, I most admire............ Viola Davis. I relate to her childhood where she struggled with bedwetting for a while. Also, she is unapologetic about who she is. Ellen Deeneres
My greatest achievement is..........I have grown other people. One thing about our industry is that people are selfish when it comes to lifting others.
My greatest regret is................. I did not get into media earlier.
My favourite author is............... Mary Higgins Clerk
One thing that I would change about myself is............. I would speak up when wronged. I tend to pile issues up instead of just talking them out.
If I was to die in five minutes, my last words would be... I have served my purpose.
