A team of detectives was Monday dispatched to a village in Kiambu to look for a suspect who defiled a seven-year-old girl inside a public toilet.
The incident happened during a wedding ceremony at a church compound in Kiganjo ward, Kiambu county.
The girl's mother said she had allowed her daughter to use the washrooms within the church premises at about 4pm, but she became concerned when the minor failed to return.
The distraught parent proceeded to check on her only to be met by a gory scene of her helpless child lying in a pool of blood inside the washroom.
She had been defiled by a stranger who escaped the scene.
Police at Gatundu police station said the minor narrated that a stranger stormed the toilet door and forcefully defiled her while threatening of dire consequences if she called for help.
The victim was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital from Gatundu Level 5 Hospital where she had been received. She is admitted in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a woman accused a man of sodomising her at a hotel in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
The details came out after the woman was detained Saturday as she left and accused of stealing an iPad.
The middle-aged woman had been invited to the hotel by the foreigner where they had a good time until when the lady took leave.
However, immediately after she left the room, the foreigner realised his iPad valued at around Sh92,000 was missing and alerted security to stop the woman and ransack her handbag in search of the gadget.
The iPad was recovered from the woman and the hotel’s security alerted police officers based at Capitol Hill police station, who immediately rushed to the establishment.
The woman alleged the foreigner had given her the iPad, being payment for the services she had offered him all night since he had no cash.
She further told the officers she intended to file a sodomy report against the foreigner, since he had gone against the order of nature, contrary to her wishes.
Both reports were booked at the police station for further investigations.
