Nakuru RFC's John Kidera speeds up past a Mwamba opponent during a past tournament

Nakuru RFC coach Felix Oloo is confident his charges can turn around their form after a slow start to the season.

The 2013 and 2014 Kenya Cup champions currently sit 10th on the log with two points having snatched a 10-10 draw against Blak Blad in their last outing after three consecutive losses. However, Oloo is not pressing the panic button just yet.

“It's been a tough start to the season but I am confident in my charges. We will bounce back. We have a young squad with very few experienced players but we are not far from registering our first win of the season," said Oloo.

Oloo, who doubles up as Kenya Lionesses head coach, hailed his side's attitude in the entertaining draw with Blak Blad.

"I loved our attitude. We fought hard for every ball, defended well and improved in our execution in both defence and attack. That will bode well for the team in the new year,” added Oloo.

Nakuru will face Homeboyz, Mwamba, Impala and Nondies in January and Oloo believes some of the fixtures are winnable.

"We are playing teams around us in the standings and those are the matches that we need to win to move up the table,” added Oloo.

Nakuru lost 30-11 to Strathmore Leos in their opening match and were no match for last year's finalists as they fell 31-3 to Kabras and 62-5to champions KCB.
