From traditional marketing efforts like print and mass media to digital campaigns to special events and market research, the MSK (marketing society of Kenya) Awards recognizes the outstanding achievements of local marketers and advertisers.

“We had a lot of entries but I am confident that we presented the awards to organizations and agencies that dream up the best marketing campaigns and make them realities,” Gala Committee chair, Joel Chacha said.

Other brands that were awarded included Safaricom PLC that won the judge’s choice for their M-Pesa app campaign, Daily Nation with the best marketing medium execution, for print, Citizen wining best marketing medium execution for TV and Absa Bank Kenya winning the overall tech marketing campaign of the year.

“We only drive activities that make marketers proud to drive brands they recommend to their family and friends,” MSK CEO, Edward Oswe said.

The awards were judged by an accomplished panel of experts and industry leaders led by Chief Officer at SCANAD Africa, Deepesh Jha. All entries were taken through a two-step process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists.

The scores were then tabulated and sent to the senior judges for verification. Finally, the chief judge held a meeting with the senior judges where entries were discussed and evaluated to decide the winning entries.

The MSK Chairman, Charles Kariuki said that they reward companies that craft innovative strategies, unforgettable campaigns and focus on marketing collaterals that have produced outstanding results.

The awards are a recognition of real excellence in marketing and aims to celebrate work that is born in companies with cultures where innovation and creativity thrive to grow business.
