Houses set on fire in Kiserian row

A 30-year-old hawker was charged yesterday with setting his landlord’s house on fire for refusing to refund his deposit.Stephen Ng’ang’a allegedly set Lucy Gicheha’s house on fire, burning property worth Sh150,000, on Thursday at Kiserian, Kajiado county.He was charged with burning two other houses belonging to Michael Kinuthia and Benedict Mulinge.

A 30-year-old hawker was charged yesterday with setting his landlord’s house on fire for refusing to refund his deposit.

Stephen Ng’ang’a allegedly set Lucy Gicheha’s house on fire, burning property worth Sh150,000, on Thursday at Kiserian, Kajiado county.

He was charged with burning two other houses belonging to Michael Kinuthia and Benedict Mulinge.

Ng’ang’a denied all the charges before Kibera senior principal magistrate Lucas Onyina.

He was released on a Sh 500,000 bond. The case will be heard on April 18.
