Equity recognised top lender in trade financing

Equity Bank emerged the top bank in trade financing at the 20th Edition of the Think Business Banking Awards.

It also secured the first position in eight other categories.

The accolade, according to the lender, underscores its commitment to delivering top-tier trade finance solutions and supporting Kenyan businesses to trade internationally, through the accessibility of financial services to catalyse sustainable economic growth across the continent.

Alongside the award, Equity was recognised in agency banking, product marketing for their "Kusave Ni Rahisi Na Equity" campaign, asset finance, agriculture and livestock financing, retail banking and corporate banking.

It was also named the top commercial bank in microfinance.

Additionally, it received the special judge's award for product innovation with its Equity Group Foundation (EGF) - Water Financing initiative, underlining its commitment to sustainable financial solutions.

Nevertheless, the lender earned two special recognitions, affirming its standing as the top player in the banking sector.
