One of Kenya´s leading retail chain, Quickmart Supermarket, has relaunched its Kiambu Road Branch.
This is after a series of significant renovations that place the outlet as a bigger and better representation of the fresh and easy brand promise they are known for.
The relaunched supermarket will now operate 24 hours. This brings to 14 the total number of Quickmart outlets countrywide operating 24 hours.
The East African Breweries Limited commercial director Joel Kamau was the chief guest accompanied by Zenko Managing Director Said Zein.
The relaunch coincided with the official launch of the retailer´s Christmas campaign dubbed ¨Krisi Bila Worries.¨
Betty Wamaitha, the retailer´s head of marketing said: "The campaign is driven by the need to accord customers some much-needed reprieve during the festive season that will go a long way in cushioning them from the harsh effects of the prevailing hard economic times."
Customers were offered discounts on specific products and several giveaways during the relaunch.
Commenting on the same, Betty who is a regular shopper at the outlet said, "The discounts have come in handy in such a time when many are grappling with the high cost of consumer products."
Many Kenyans will appreciate the initiative by Quickmart to have the offers during the coming Christmas festive period and be able to do their shopping without worrying about the prices.
In addition, the extension of the operating hours will contribute to the 24-hour economy joining the market trends. This will lead to customer satisfaction in that they will have the freedom to shop at their own convenience regardless of time.
Quickmart Supermarket opened its first branch in Nakuru in 2006 and now boasts of 55 branches across 14 counties.
