Good will

The Nairobi City County permits and licenses have no grace period anymore. This was removed after the County government changed the law. The permits are due once the previous ones expire.

Only Land Rates have a grace period up to 31st March 2022.

As a sign of goodwill KRA, NMS and NCCG gave the traders up to end of February 2022 to make payments. This came after a meeting with officials and representatives of SMEs under the umbrella of Central Business District SMEs Association in January 2022.

It was agreed that enforcement action be employed from 1st March 2022. Therefore, enforcement of the NCCG permits and licenses is ongoing.
